You have a COPY of your child's BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE (even if your child was baptised at St. David's Parish).

Please contact the parish office of the church where your child was baptised to request a copy of their baptismal certificate.

Rite of Baptism

Some churches administer the sacrament of Confirmation at Baptism, these include but are not limited to Eastern Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches. Children baptised in these rites are still welcome to participate in classes and receive a blessing, but CANNOT receive the sacrament again (CCC 1304).

For children who have NOT YET been baptised, parents must contact the parish to begin the preparation for baptism immediately. Children who have not yet made their sacrament of Reconciliation or received their First Communion will need to complete additional catechismal preparation.
